Role Overview 

W M Walsh Surfacing Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced 32-Tonne Tipper Driver to operate from our Wembley base. This role supports our surfacing and civil engineering operations across London and the South East, transporting materials safely and efficiently between depots, suppliers, and live work sites. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Safely operate a 32-tonne tipper lorry in accordance with road traffic law and company procedures. 

• Deliver and collect materials such as tarmac, aggregates, spoil, and backfill materials. 

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly. 

• Load and tip materials safely on site, following site rules and instructions. 

• Work closely with site teams, supervisors, and transport coordinators. 

• Ensure loads are secure and compliant with weight regulations. 

• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately. 

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness. 

• Adhere to all health & safety, environmental, and company policies. 

Key Skills

Essential:

• Valid HGV Class C licence. 

• Driver CPC qualification. 

• Digital tachograph card. 

• Proven experience driving 32-tonne tipper vehicles. 

• Good knowledge of London road networks and construction sites. 

• Strong awareness of health and safety on live sites. 

• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude. 

Desirable:

• Experience working within civil engineering, highways, or utilities sectors. 

• Previous work on utility or reinstatement contracts. 

• Knowledge of FORS / CLOCS standards.
